WHO swine flu update: Tamiflu-resistant (H275Y) cases of H1N1 flu have nearly doubled in two weeks 12/03/09 11:10am
WHO swine flu update: Tamiflu-resistant (H275Y) cases of H1N1 flu have nearly doubled in two weeks

Now, I am completely confused!! WHO released information and earlier saying the Tamiflu resistant virus is NOT Spreading - NOW they say it is!!

WHO wonders WHY no one trust a Single word they say?!

So which one is it? Is it spreading or is it Not spreading!? Please see a post earlier today, where WHO said the virus has NOT been spreading!

Article:

The World Health Organization (WHO) provided an important swine flu update on the second of December. According to the WHO, the number of Tamiflu-resistant cases of H1N1 (swine flu) that have been identified have nearly doubled in the previous two week period.

Treating the swine flu virus with antiviral medication

Tamiflu, or oseltamivir, is an antiviral medication used to treat and prevent symptoms associated with the swine flu virus. In order to be most effective, it should be used early in the infection. A mutated strain of the H1N1 virus, however, is not sensitive to Tamiflu, and is not treatable with this particular antiviral medication. Another antiviral medicine, Relenza, does still work on the swine flu at this point.

H1N1 mutation clusters

Clusters of this H1N1 mutation, H275Y, have been found in North Carolina and Maryland, in the U.S., and Wales, in the United Kingdom.

Antiviral-resistant H1N1 cases

According to the latest report from the WHO, the number of reported cases of Tamiflu-resistant swine flu have increased from 57 to 96 in just two weeks.

"Swine Flu Labelled a Conspiracy"

This is Awesome, I wonder if MSM outlets will pick this Story up!? I won't hold my breath for it!

Article:

The swine flu pandemic has been named as the “most ambitious scam and corruption of our time” after pharma has been found to be in bed with the World Health Organisation.

Journalists from Denmark have reported links between the World Health Organisation and pharmaceutical companies where firms have been covertly paying top WHO scientists. In the meantime, pharma profits from flu drugs have soared.

The journalists from the newspaper Information claim the public and political hysteria to swine flu is a result of an efficient public relations campaign, spearheaded by the WHO experts that have been prejudiced by pharma’s ready cash.

The lead target in the allegations is Dutch doctor Albert Ostenhaus, who has promoted the need for vaccinations through the WHO and the media and headed a panel that advised the WHO to announce that swine flu had reached pandemic level. Reports claim Ostenhaus is paid by several vaccine manufacturers and the Netherlands government is believed to be investigating his activities.

Other WHO advisors are understood to also advise big pharma and have been allegedly concealing their pharma-funded salaries.

Meanwhile, further questions have been raised about the WHO’s independence over the H1N1 flu virus after various documents found medicines and vaccinations were mentioned more than 40 times while traditional hand washing and the use of masks to combat the disease were only mentioned twice.

The pharma industry is expected to make between seven and 10 billion euros in 2009 from the sales of swine flu related drugs, according to JP Morgan.

EU: no safety concerns as 10 million get H1N1 shots
EU: no safety concerns as 10 million get H1N1 shots

Unbelievable - they say there have been NO serious side effects?!

Article:

LONDON (Reuters) - Some 10 million people across the European Union have now been vaccinated against H1N1 swine flu and so far no unexpected serious safety issues have been identified, the region's drugs watchdog said on Thursday.

The most frequent adverse reactions have been fever, nausea, headache, allergic reactions and injection site pain, but these were mostly non-serious and had been expected, the European Medicines Agency said.

The safety update is the first analysis of adverse reactions following the roll-out of three vaccines across Europe -- GlaxoSmithKline's Pandemrix, Novartis's Focetria and Baxter's Celvapan.

New clinical trial data did show a greater incidence of fever following the second dose of Pandemrix in babies from 6 to 35 months and an assessment of that data was ongoing, the agency added.

I find it amazing the out right lies, there are reports everywhere of deaths and adverse side effects - there have been dozens of those here in the blog! How can they LIE like that?!

Tamiflu-resistant flu not spreading more widely: WHO

They don't mention Norway or China in this article, but this is excellent news if they are being truthful! That means whatever mutation is not spreading!

Article:

GENEVA (Reuters) - Tamiflu-resistant H1N1 viruses have not spread to hospital staff or beyond despite spreading among two clusters of patients in Britain and the United States the World Health Organization (WHO) said.

Investigations to date showed that the resistant-form of swine flu was not transmitted outside of two hospital wards in Wales and North Carolina where they emerged in October and November, the WHO said in statement issued overnight.

A total of a dozen patients, all with severely suppressed immune systems due to underlying medical conditions, were infected with H1N1 viruses resistant to oseltamivir, the generic name for Roche's Tamiflu.

"Transmission of resistant virus from one patient to another is suspected in both outbreaks," the WHO said.

"No illness in staff caring for these patients has been detected, suggesting that the resistant virus does not spread easily to otherwise healthy people, especially when good measures for infection control are in place."

All 8 patients in Wales were hospitalized because of severe blood disorders, which severely weakened their immune systems, according to the United Nations agency. All are alive, including one being treated in intensive care.

In the United States three of the four patients died "but the role of H1N1 infection in contributing to these deaths is uncertain," it said.

Patients with severely compromised immune systems are especially vulnerable to the H1N1 virus, according to the WHO.

"These patients are highly susceptible to infection, particularly difficult to treat and especially likely to develop resistance," it said.

Standard Tamiflu doses and length of treatment are "unlikely to be sufficient" for these patients, according to the agency.

"Zanamivir should be considered as the treatment of choice for patients who develop prolonged influenza illness despite treatment with oseltamivir," it said.

GlaxoSmithKline and Biota make zanamivir under the brand name of Relenza, a flu drug that must be inhaled.

"Once oseltamivir resistant virus has been detected in a ward treating severely immuno-compromized patients, doctors should consider switching to zanamivir as the antiviral drug of first choice for treatment," the WHO said.

Zanamivir should also be considered for preventive treatment of other patients on the ward who have been exposed, it added.

ive heard one of the infections causes the lungs to go dry and painful this can be eased by taking a hot shower and breathing a good amount of steam
or use a steam inhaler..
some infections cause the mucous membranes to dry up

some useful herbs-
turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory on a par with well-known steroids (curcumin the active ingredient, has many medicinal qualities)
dandelion leaf is a diuretic and will encourage fluids to leave the body if u have pneumonia
if u do get pneumonia u need to either get anti-biotics or go on a raw fruit n veg diet with plenty of rest and keep warm
elderflowers (not elderberries) help restore mucous membranes
colloidal silver will kill the infecting agent - been doing some research on CS
from what i hear ordinary home-made CS particles are not small enough to penetrate some cell walls therefore you need nano-silver which is much smaller, more expensive c £19 for 125 ml @ 15ml/day will last about 7/8 days altho 2/3 days should knock out most things incl pneumonia and plague.
a typical brand of nano-silver is Silver Shield http://www.aquasolsilver.com/

if you dont have a nebuliser (cost about £55) and wish to take CS straight into yr lungs
you can take a tiny sip close yr mouth leave it on yr tongue 4 20 seconds to warm up then inhale thru yr mouth and the vapour should pass down into yr lungs - more immediate than taking thru stomach 4 lung infection. repeat till u hav taken required dose (say over 20/30 mins/1 hour). usually 4 nano-silver dose is 5ml 3x per day..
u may need less if taking direct into yr lungs as will go straight to infected site
obviously this is only appropriate if u r treating a lung infection
ive heard if u keep it under yr tongue will enter blood stream quicker than swallowing
depend wot type of infection u r trying 2 treat
i guess inhaling it will also enter blood-stream quickly

if its a gut infection then swallowing is presumably better
if its a blood or lung infection possibly better 2 inhale or keep under tongue..

Published Thursday December 3, 2009
Iowa reports three more H1N1 flu deaths; total now 30
Iowa health officials have reported three more deaths from H1N1 flu, bringing the state’s total to 30. The newly reported deaths involved adults with risk factors that increased the chances of complications.
Two of the new victims were from southwest Iowa: one from Fremont County and one from Union County. The third was from Polk County in central Iowa.
Nebraska has reported 12 H1N1 deaths.
Omaha-area residents could get vaccinated against H1N1 flu at two locations on Wednesday. Nearly 2,300 people were inoculated during a clinic at Elkhorn High School. A count was not immediately available for a clinic held at Papillion-La Vista High School.

Health Officials With Warning Of Potential Flu Scams
Nevada health officials are warning of potential scams involving the swine flu outbreak. One involves an e-mail inviting recipients to create a personal vaccination profile with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The e-mail links to a Web site that looks like the CDC page and directs them to download a file. Officials say to delete the e-mail.

China reports big increase in H1N1 flu deaths
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2009-12-02 22:18
BEIJING: The Chinese mainland saw a faster increase of deaths from the A/H1N1 influenza in the past weeks, according to the Ministry of Health
A total of 74 deaths were reported in the week from November 23 to 29, said a notice issued on the ministry's website Wednesday. Reported deaths in the previous two weeks were 28 and 51 respectively.
About 91 percent of all the flu cases reported last week were of the A/H1N1 strain, compared with 89.8 percent in the previous week, the notice said.
The ministry advised the public to keep warm in the cold weather, wash hands frequently and keep rooms ventilated.
As of Monday, more than 27 million people nationwide had been inoculated with China-made A/H1N1 vaccine, according to the ministry.
Four deaths had been reported after vaccination and three had been confirmed irrelevant to the vaccines, while cause of the other is not clear yet, the ministry said.

http://www2.nbc4i.com/cmh/news/local/article/local_5-year-old_dies_after_contracting_h1n1/27689/ CPH: Local 5-Year-Old Died After Contracting H1N1
Published: December 3, 2009
COLUMBUS, Ohio—The city of Columbus has had its second confirmed pediatric death with an association to H1N1 influenza.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
A 5-year-old boy died last month, and Columbus Public Health confirmed Thursday that the boy had H1N1 influenza.
The 5-year-old died Friday, Nov 13.
The cause of death has not been filed currently.
Lab reports confirmed the child did have H1N1 influenza, but that doesn’t mean H1N1 was the cause of death, according to CPH’s Jose Rodriguez.
Fourteen-year-old Jon Fowler died Thursday, Oct. 8, after contracting the H1N1 virus.
Fowler’s death was the city’s first local pediatric death from the virus.
Protocol requires the reporting to the health department of any pediatric death in which the decedent was carrying H1N1. Adult deaths are not required to be reported.
The health department continues to monitor the factors that are the hallmarks for its evaluation of the disease.
Rodriguez said those indicators show a falling off of cases. There still is a strong possibility of a third wave of the flu in about eight weeks, if it were to follow the pattern of earlier outbreaks....... iv read elsewere that cases are falling or the virus may of peaked, only to be hit with expect a third wave and even gives a time scale 8 weeks, does this mean they fu***d up the 1st and 2nd waves so here's something stronger in the third

as we are dealing with an issue of health it is obviously going to involve discussion of treatment
what i will do is contact the provider for clarification of the procedures.
if i need to post something not accepted here, i will post it in my blog http://jesuitsdidit.blogspot.com/ (link >> click the globe icon on right) and make a post here to say information transferred to blog.

http://wtfsgoingon.typepad.com/what-the-fucks-going-on-blog/2009/12/two-pandemic-disaster-scenarios-reinfection-with-h1n1-mutation-combining-swine-and-bird-flu.html Two pandemic disaster scenarios: re-infection with H1N1, mutation combining Swine and Bird flu
EARL NASH 12/01/2009

There are two major pandemic threats that worry virologists, MDs and even the WHO:
1. RE-INFECTIONS
If you get over Round One with the Swine flu, you can get a more severe (2nd generation) version of the same virus, making you sicker this time; then, you worry that the third time you get it (3rd genration) it could kill you.
If you pass the 2nd or 3rd generation version to someone who has not been infected by the virus yet, it could kill them.
2.Swine-Bird Kiler Flu strain
If the H1N1 Swine flu combines with the HiN5 Brid flu, it could create a killer flu that would be worse than the Spanish flu.
"The most obvious risk is of H5N1 combining with the pandemic ... [H1N1] virus, producing a flu virus that is as deadly as the former and as contagious as the latter."
Virologists told HSToday.us that “it’s very possible that the two flu strains could combine – this reassortment that we talk about – that could result in a mix of the two,” as one explained. “Of course, what we are concerned about is a mutation that contains the worst characteristics of the two viruses.”
That the two flu strain could merge, reassert, and produce a new hybrid influenza strain combining the worst elements of each of the viruses is a possibility that authorities have been worrying about ever since the spread of the A-H1N1 virus increased to pandemic level.
“We don’t know if this is possible, but we are certainly aware of the risk,” Dr. Shin Young-soo, WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific,” told The Philippine Star. “We are on alert for this development.”
“Influenza viruses are unpredictable. In areas where [A-H1N1] is endemic, we and our partners and national governments are working to build surveillance systems to identify changes in the behavior of the virus,” Shin said. “We are also focusing on early-response capacity to reduce the potential threats to human health.”
